Rx Clear® Salt Water Pool Opening Kit (Up to 30,000 Gallons)

After a long winter, it’s time to get your pool ready for a relaxing season. The Rx Clear® Salt Water Opening Kit makes spring pool opening simple and is suitable for pools up to 30,000 gallons.

This kit includes everything you need to maintain optimal pool water. Rx Clear® Stabilizer preserves chlorine by preventing UV degradation. Jack's Magic® The Purple Stuff™ safely prevents and removes scale and stains. Rx Clear® 50% Algaecide kills and prevents algae growth. Rx Clear® Salt Test Strips ensure proper salinity for optimal chlorine production. Together, these products help your pool start the season looking its best.

Instructions:

1. Test and adjust total alkalinity to 60–100 ppm to help maintain proper pH throughout the season

2. Test and adjust pH to 7.2–7.6 for optimal chlorine performance and to minimize skin and eye irritation

3. Raise cyanuric acid to 70–90 ppm by adding Rx Clear® Stabilizer (typical annual dose: 2 lbs per 5,000 gallons). Pre-dissolve the product before application

4. Add one bottle of Jack's Magic® The Purple Stuff™ to remove metals like iron, copper, and manganese that can stain pool surfaces

5. Add 10 oz. of 50% Algaecide per 10,000 gallons of water. Apply in one spot to reduce foaming and coat pool walls, disrupting algae cell membranes

6. Maintain pH between 7.2–7.6 and chlorine at 1–3 ppm. If chlorine falls below 1 ppm, set your system to "Boost" to act as a shock treatment
